Vishnu Dental College

Vishnu Dental College

These words of the world-famous writer have become a source of inspiration for our beloved chairman and vice-chairman who are keen to succeed in the field of education, because determination has been found over the time the chief ingredient of success in the Vishnu family.

The establishment of VEDIC (Vishnu Educational Development and Innovation Centre) as a centre for teacher training has brought in tremendous fruitful changes in the quality of education at Vishnu dental college (VDC). Our goal is to change the education methods in par with the global standards. It may sound idealistic, but this is precisely our mission. The vision of the college is to be recognized for excellence in dental education with ethics and morality. We are driven by the belief that every dental graduate deserves a high-quality education. As we are witnessing an intersection of great challenge and great opportunity, VEDIC has turned out to be a definite game changer in the academics at VDC.

The institution is imbibed with this opportunity, but with opportunity comes responsibility. With a tradition of leadership and innovation erstwhile, we accept the responsibility and seize this moment to change the way of education as it was..

We take this pride to submit the first annual (2016) review report of VEDIC to begin the next chapter in the field of education and will continue to be, like no other.

Vision

To cultivate and nurture a positive psychological mindset for conducting purposeful and innovative research to achieve research excellence.

Purpose

Faculty members seldom are interested, aware and updated on the scientific psychological basis upon which our thoughts and actions are governed. This unawareness about one’s own potential creates a negative mindset towards learning and research. Many are unaware of the advancements and practices in the field of learning and its mindset. Hence it becomes the need of the hour to empower our faculty members, who are involved in updating themselves towards a research based teaching career, with hands-on training in cultivating a positive mindset needed for effective learning and research. This workshop handhold those in a systemic disciplined process with basic elements of thinking to make them inquisitive minded.
